StrikeIQ collects and uses information needed to provide fishing briefings, Bite Map intelligence, account services, subscriptions, support, reliability and product safety.
Information we collect
- Account information such as email address, user ID and optional display name.
- Email, sign-in and authentication identifiers used for account access and account support.
- Approximate or precise location data when you choose nearby forecasts, Bite Map, manual location tools, catch logging or trip planning.
- Forecast and Bite Map requests, including region, selected species, time window, platform context and map selections.
- Catch logs, trip logs, notes, timestamps, species, trip details and privacy settings you choose to save.
- Catch photos, avatar images or other media if you choose to upload them.
- Purchase and subscription entitlement data needed to unlock Premium features.
- App diagnostics, support messages, bug reports and feedback you submit.
How we use information
We use this information to provide Bite Map, forecast and fishing briefing features, maintain your account, support subscription entitlement, save catch and trip logs, improve the product, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, protect security and keep the service reliable.
Third-party processors
StrikeIQ may use Google Play Billing where Premium is enabled, Supabase for authentication and app data, Mapbox or Google Maps where map/location features are used, OpenAI only for server-side fishing briefings, photo or tackle analysis where enabled, Google Sign-In where enabled, and email/support providers such as Resend for support messages. These providers process data only as needed to operate the app and services.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information with service providers only as needed to run StrikeIQ, support users, verify subscriptions, maintain security, comply with law or protect the service.
Security and retention
We use encrypted transport, server-side access controls and owner-scoped records where user data is stored. We keep account, app, support, catch, subscription and diagnostic records only as long as needed for the service, legal, security, financial or operational reasons.
Account deletion
You can request deletion in the StrikeIQ app or at /account-deletion. Apple App Store and Google Play subscriptions are managed separately in the applicable store. Deleting your StrikeIQ account does not automatically cancel an active store subscription. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal or financial compliance.
Children
StrikeIQ is intended for a general fishing audience and is not directed to children. Users should only use StrikeIQ where they are old enough to create an account and use fishing/location features under the rules that apply in their region.
